Getting Started

Details on how to start using the gym in Ards, including membership sign up and inductions.

Membership

You can use the gym as often as you like for a fixed monthly price as a Fitness member or pay as you go as a Casual User. For full details on Memberships, click here.

Gym Induction

Everyone new to the gym must have a Quick Start Induction. Inductions can be booked in the gym or at reception.

Junior members must have an adult with them at the Quick Start Induction. Junior members can also do a separate Strength Training induction at the times shown below. These can be booked online via the website or Leisure App by choosing ‘Classes’ then ‘Junior Strength Induction’.

The 45-minute induction will show you key pieces of equipment to get you up and running, including how to use them safely. You will be shown:

  • 3 Cardiovascular machines with Unity 3 screens
  • SKILL MILL
  • 2 pin and 2 plate loaded pieces of Resistance equipment

Adults: 8.30am, 10.30am, 2.30pm, 7.30pm
Juniors: 4.30pm
Wednesday
Adults: 8am, 11am, 3pm, 7.30pm
Thursday
Adults: 2.15pm, 3.30pm, 7.30pm
Juniors: 4.30pm
Friday
Adults: 10.30am, 3.30pm
Juniors: 4.30pm
Saturday
Adults: 2.30pm
Juniors: 4pm - Strength Training Induction
Sunday
Adults: 1.30pm
Juniors: 4pm - Strength Training Induction
