HYROX

HYROX is a fitness phenomenon catching the attention of all professional athletes, and everyday fitness enthusiasts looking to take their training to the next level. HYROX is the sport for everybody!

HYROX Classes

HYROX classes will incorporate the 8 main HYROX exercises Skierg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges and Wall Balls, as well as running.

HYROX Race

Ards Blair Mayne Wellbeing and Leisure Complex will be hosting a HYROX Relay Race on Saturday 6 December between 9am to 1pm.

Our HYROX Relay Race will raise funds for the charity Orchardville: Supporting people with learning disability or autism to live, learn and work.

Open to: Teams of 4 (2 male, 2 female)

The Team must complete all 8 workout stations in the designated order. Each team member must complete 2 Stations, they do not have to be consecutive Stations. The Run is always the first part of the Station and must be completed before starting the station exercise. Change over to the next Team member must be done in the marked Change over station.

Each team member will have their Session number written on their right calf and the Stations they are doing on their forearm.

Competitors must be 16 years or over to compete.

Race Age categories: 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70+
Age category for teams is based on the average age of participants.

How to sign up

The HYROX Relay race is open to everyone.

Entry cost £40 per team. A £10 registration fee will be taken upon booking. £30 donation to the charity Orchardville must be made on the day at the Registration Desk.

Entries open Friday 14 November at 12 noon. Entries close Wednesday 3 December, 12 noon.

There is no limit to who can take part in HYROX races - HYROX welcomes every participant with open arms.

HYROX racing combines both running and functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
