Fitness and Spa

Fitness and Spa adult, concession and corporate members can now use the gym and fitness classes at Ards and Comber and swim at Ards.

Junior members can use the gym at both Ards and Comber.

Fitness and Spa membership has been downgraded to Fitness membership until the Spa reopens.

Direct Debit memberships

The monthly direct debit payment until the Spa reopens is: Adult £31, Concession £24, Corporate £25, Junior £17.50.

All Adult, Concession and Corporate Fitness and Spa memberships are live unless you have instructed us to freeze your membership.
All Junior Fitness and Spa memberships are currently frozen.

If you are ready to come back please submit our Reactivate My Membership form.

When a membership is reactivated the first direct debit payment taken will be adjusted to account for 2 weeks free use to compensate for the time lost in March 2020.

Cash memberships

These will be extended to account for the days lost from 16 March to the expiry date of the membership or the reactivation date if the membership is still live. The downgrade to Fitness membership will also be accounted for. 

Fitness (including Comber and Portaferry only)

From 1 October Portaferry Sports Centre members will be able to use the gym and fitness classes at Portaferry Sports Centre.

Fitness adult, concession and corporate members can now use the gym and fitness classes at Ards and Comber and swim at Ards.
Fitness Comber only members can now use the gym and fitness classes at Comber.

Junior members can use the gym at both Ards and Comber.

Direct Debit payments will recommence on 1 September 2020

Members who use the centre during August will have 2 weeks use free of charge to compensate for the weeks lost in March 2020. The remaining 2 weeks will be added to the direct debit payment on 1 September. All Comber only direct debit memberships will be treated in this way unless you instruct us to freeze your membership.

Cash memberships

These will be extended to account for the days lost from 16 March to the expiry date of the membership or the reactivation date if the membership is still live.

Fitness Portaferry only membership

Direct Debit memberships

All Fitness Portaferry only memberships are currently frozen.

To unfreeze your membership to start using the centre from 1 October, please submit our Reactivate My Membership form.

When a membership is reactivated the first direct debit payment taken will be adjusted to account for 2 weeks free use to compensate for the time lost in March 2020.

Cash memberships

These will be extended to account for the days lost from 16 March to the expiry date of the membership or the reactivation date if the membership is still live.

Spa

Spa adult, concession and corporate members can now swim at Ards. 
Swimming is not currently available to junior members whose memberships remain frozen.

Spa membership is downgraded to Aqua membership until the Spa reopens. The monthly payment is currently: Adult £22.50, Concession £16, Corporate £17.

Aqua

Aqua adult, concession and corporate members are now able to swim at Ards. Swimming is not currently available to junior members.

Resident and Active Ageing

From 1 October members will be able to use the gym and fitness classes at Portaferry Sports Centre.

Resident and Active Ageing members can use the activities available at Ards and Comber centres.
Junior members can use the gym, please see the junior gym page for full details.

All activities must be prebooked and paid for in advance. Bookings can be made 7 days in advance.

Your first booking must be done by telephone, thereafter bookings can be made at the centre or by telephone.
When booking at a centre the payment must be made using contactless card payment as cash will not be accepted at the centres.

Active Ageing Members will be able to use our gyms in Ards and Comber throughout September at the reduced rate of £2.50 during centre opening hours.

Not Ready to Come Back Yet

We understand that some members are not ready to come back yet. In this instance, membership can be frozen until 31 December 2020.

Please note: all memberships will become live and payment taken from 1 January 2021. The payment taken on 1 January 2021 will be reduced to compensate for the weeks lost in March due to the lockdown.

Cash members will have their membership extended to account for the time lost from 16 March until 31 December 2020 or the expiry date of the membership if earlier.

Members who want to unfreeze their membership before 31 December will have their compensation added at that time.

New Memberships

We are now accepting new memberships for Fitness and Aqua at both Ards Blair Mayne and Comber Leisure Centre. 

New memberships will be taken on an appointment basis only to ensure social distancing is maintained. 

Comber Leisure Centre - to book a membership appointment please call 028 9187 4350.

Ards Blair Mayne - to sign up for a membership, please book an appointment below.  Appointment sessions will last between 30 and 45 mins and include a Virtual Induction video.
