Reopening Hours

Please note: only those with prebooked sessions will be permitted in the centre.

Gym

Update 16 October: both gyms will remain open during the four week break.

The Gym and Heavy Gym are available to all centre members and non members.
Juniors should look at our Junior Gym pages for the latest information.

  • Gym sessions are 45 minutes, running every hour on the hour.
  • Unlimited gym sessions can be booked up to a maximum of 2 per day.
  • Two consecutive sessions may be booked without having to leave the gym.
    If you have booked 2 sessions ensure you are given a band by the queue manager when you arrive at the centre. This will indicate to gym staff that you are able to remain in the gym. Please remember that staff will be deep cleaning during the 15 minute changeover time.
  • Arrive at anytime for your session.
    You can book a single or double session to suit your arrival time and how long you want to train for. You will not be allowed to join a session in the 15 minute slot between sessions.
  • Bookings can be made up to 15 minutes prior to the session start time.

Booking - sessions must be prebooked and can be booked up to 15 minutes before the session starts. Members can book 7 days in advance online or by telephoning the centre, non members 6 days in advance by telephoning the centre. Click here for booking information.

Cancelling - sessions can be cancelled up to 4 hours before the start time. Please ensure you cancel any booking you are unable to attend to enable another member to use the place. You can cancel online or by telephone. Members failing to cancel bookings may have their membership suspended for 7 days. During the suspension time you will be unable to use your membership and no refund or suspension of payment will be made. Refunds will not be made for uncancelled bookings.

 

Using the gym

  • Arrive gym ready as changing facilities will not be available
  • Ensure you have a band, available at the complex entrance, if staying for 2 consecutive sessions..
  • Water will not be available at the centre, please bring enough water for your visit as refills and vending will not be available.
  • For safety reasons the air conditioning will be turned off. Air handling units pumping air in from outside will be in operation.
  • Staff will allow entry to the gym.
  • When using the Heavy Gym social distancing must be adhered to at all times.
  • Please clean the equipment before and after use with the sanitizer and paper towel provided.
  • Loose weights must be left in the quarantine area for sanitization after use.
  • Only one person may use the cube at a time. If using the punch bag you must bring your own gloves.
  • Exercises that involve travelling around the gym e.g. walking lunges, will not be permitted.
  • Staff will sanitize during sessions where possible and a complete sanitization will be carried out in the 15 minute slot between sessions.
  • Programme updates and inductions will not be available.
  • Please leave promptly when a staff member announces the end of the session.

Fitness Classes

Update 16 October: fitness classes will not be available in the centre during the four week break. Please see our Exercise at Home programme.

Available to centre members and non members who are 16 years or over.

A maximum of 5 fitness classes can be booked per week, a maximum of 2 per day.

  • Classes will take place in the Sports Hall.
  • All centre equipment will be cleaned after use.

Activities, Badminton and Tennis

Update 16 October: badminton and tennis will not be available during the four week break.

Badminton and Tennis is now available to both members and non members. Sessions must be pre booked and paid for. Those 15 years and under must be accompanied by a playing adult 18 years or over.

All sessions are for 60 minutes.
Up to 3 consecutive sessions may be booked where court time is available.

Badminton is available at any time during centre opening hours.

Tennis available on Monday and Wednesday 10am to 1pm.
A duty manager will be on site but the leisure centre will be closed at this time. Players should make their way directly to the Dome.

Cost per court per hour:

Tennis – Adult £8.50, Junior/Concession/Active Ageing £5, Family £7(must be one junior playing)

Badminton - Adult £10.50, Junior/Concession/Active Ageing £5.50

Using the centre

Tennis players if pre booked and paid should go straight to the Dome. Badminton players should queue at the centre entrance 5 minutes before their session starts and follow the procedures in place for visiting and leaving the centre.

Players must:

  • arrive play ready
  • bring their own equipment
  • bring their own water
  • keep track of time and leave promptly at the end of their session.

 

At present all other centre facilities and activities remain closed.  As soon as further guidance has been issued from the Northern Ireland Executive regarding these facilities reopening - information will appear here. 

Dino's Den Soft Play

Update 16 October: soft play will not be available during the four week break.

Dino's is open for casual use at the times below. Party bookings are not being taken at this time.

Only 2 households are allowed in Dino's per session with a maximum of 10 people inclusive of adults.

Cost: £4 per child, members £2.50 per child

What to expect in Dino's

  • All moveable play items have been removed including the ball pool and hanging columns. 
  • Seating within the soft play area is available.
  • The accessible toilet on the same floor is available.
  • Users should bring their own water/drinks as vending is unavailable in the centre. Food is not permitted in the soft play area.

 

Soft Play Safety Procedures

  • The soft play area will be fogged routinely and the whole area deep cleaned after every session.
  • The wearing of face masks is recommended for adults at all times whilst in the centre and soft play area.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at the soft play door for use when entering and leaving the area.
  • Social distancing must be adhered to at all times.

Booking activities

Arriving at the centre

  • Entrance to the centre will be via the usual front entrance off the public car park.
  • Please only start queuing 5 minutes before your gym or class session starts.
  • Please queue to the right hand side.
  • There will be no admittance to the centre 5 minutes after the session/class start time and the doors will be locked.
  • Your booking and attendance will be checked by the queue manager before entering the centre. You do not need to provide a receipt, printed or on a device, for your booked session.
  • Please use the hand sanitizer available at the entrance.
  • Make your way to your pre-booked session as soon as entering the centre so not to congregate at reception. 

In the centre

  • Face Masks should be worn when walking through the centre to and from your activity. They do not need to be worn while taking part in activities.
  • Keep to the right of the reception desk and follow the one way system keeping right to the gym or Sports Hall and maintaining 2 metre social distancing.
  • The lift must only be used by one person at a time or by a family bubble.
  • Changing facilities will not be open. Small lockers are available in the gym for keys and valuables.
  • The accessible toilet near reception will be available. Hand dryers will be turned off and paper towels provided.

After your activity session

  • When your gym session or fitness class is finished you should leave the centre promptly.
  • Gym users leave the gym via the back staircase and exit the centre through the Enler Room.
  • Classes users leave through the side exit and through the Enler Room.
  • Exits will be clearly signed.
