Gym

Update 16 October: the gym will remain open during the four week break.

The gym is available to all complex members and non members.
Juniors should look at our Junior Gym pages for the latest information.

BIOCIRCUIT inductions are now available and can be booked in the gym.

  • Gym sessions are 45 minutes, running every hour on the hour   
  • Unlimited gym sessions can be booked up to a maximum of 2 per day.
  • Two consecutive sessions may be booked without having to leave the gym.
    If you have booked 2 sessions ensure you are given a band by the queue manager when you arrive at the centre. This will indicate to gym staff that you are able to remain in the gym. Please remember that staff will be deep cleaning during the 15 minute changeover time.
  • Arrive at anytime for your session.
    You can book a single or double session to suit your arrival time and how long you want to train for. You will not be allowed to join a session in the 15 minute slot between sessions.
  • Bookings can be made up to 15 minutes prior to the session start time.

Booking - sessions must be prebooked and can be booked up to 15 minutes before the session starts. Members can book 7 days in advance online or by telephoning the complex and non members can book 6 days in advance by telephoning the complex. Click here for booking information.

Cancelling - sessions can be cancelled up to 4 hours before the start time. Please ensure you cancel any booking you are unable to attend to enable another member to use the place. You can cancel online or by telephone. Members failing to cancel bookings may have their membership suspended for 7 days. During the suspension time you will be unable to use your membership and no refund or suspension of payment will be made. Refunds will not be made on any uncancelled bookings.

 

Using the gym

  • Arrive gym ready as changing facilities will not be available.
  • Ensure you have a band, available at the complex entrance, if staying for 2 consecutive sessions.
  • Bring your own water, enough for your session as refills will not be available.
  • Staff will allow entry to the gym.
  • Please clean the equipment before and after use with the sanitizer and paper towel provided.
  • For safety reasons the air conditioning will be turned off. The doors to the gym balcony will be open.
  • At busy times, limit use of a piece of equipment to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  • Staff will sanitize during sessions where possible and a complete sanitization will be carried out in the 15 minute slot between sessions.
  • Programme updates, inductions and personal training will not be available.
  • Please leave promptly when a staff member announces the end of the session.
  • Only one person at a time is permitted on the boxing rig and must bring their own gloves.
  • Exercises that involve traveling around the gym e.g. walking lunges, will not be permitted.

 

Using Loose weights

  • Dumbells should be cleaned before and after use
  • Replace dumbells back on the appropriate dumbbell rack where staff will clean them
  • When using weight plates, all plates should be cleaned before and after use. Strip the machine down afteruse and place weights on plate holders situated at the bottom of the machine. Staff will clean the plates on the plate holder.
  • All other lighter loose weights should be placed in the quarantine area.

Fitness Classes

Update 16 October: fitness classes will not be available in the complex during the four week break.

A maximum of 5 fitness classes can be booked per week, a maximum of 2 per day.

Swimming Pools

Update 16 October: swim sessions will continue during the four week break. Family swims will not be available during this time.

Swimming is now available in the Main and Minor pools. The Splash Pool remains closed.

Swim Sessions

Swim sessions are in the Main Pool for lane swimming only, in fast, medium and slow lanes.

Available to all complex members and non members.
Juniors must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or over) and be confident to swim lengths in a water depth of 1.4 metres.

Family Swim Sessions

Family Swim sessions are in the Minor Pool, each family in one half of the pool. Please note: spectators will not be permitted in the pool hall.

Available to a maximum of 5 people from the same household. The group must include one adult 18 years or over and is subject to the normal terms and conditions of use as set out in our Admissions Policy.

Cost: Members £12.60, non-members £16.80

Using the Pools

Please read the information about arriving, being in and leaving the complex.

  • You must arrive swim ready.  Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your session time and queue at the main front entrance (orange wall) where your session attendance will be verified by a member of our team.  
  • Ensure you have a band, available at the complex entrance, if staying for 2 consecutive sessions.
  • Please read our new No Outdoor Footwear Policy below.
  • Access to the changing cubicles and lockers will be available and you will be directed to the zone in use at that time by an attendant. Main Pool users will use the red and green zone, Minor Pool users the blue zone.
  • Pre cleanse showers should be used before entering the pool, but showers are not to be used after your swim.
  • Swim sessions will operate with 3 double lanes for fast, medium and slow pace.
  • Floats and equipment, including toys in the Minor Pool will not be available. You may bring your own armbands, small floats and toys.
  • Pool lifts will be available for those that require them.
  • Hairdryers will not be available and must not be brought into the complex for use.
  • Please leave promptly when the end of the session is announced.

No Outdoor Footwear Policy

To improve the hygiene of the Aqua Zone a No Outdoor Footwear policy will be in place from 10 August.

Everyone must take their outdoor shoes off before entering the Aqua Zone. Seats will be provided outside the entrance to the zone for you to sit to take off your shoes. You may bring ‘clean’ footwear (flipflops, sliders or sandals) to use while in the changing area. Please ensure you bring all your belongings into the zone when ready.

When leaving the Aqua Zone please remember not to put your outdoor shoes on until outside the zone.

Soft Play

Update 16 October: soft play will not be available during the four week break.

Soft Play is now open for casual use at the times below. Party bookings are not being taken at this time.

Session Times  
Monday to Friday 9.30am to 10.30am
12.30pm to 1.30pm
Saturday and Sunday 11am to 12 noon
2.30pm to 3.30pm

A maximum of 12 places, inclusive of adults, are available per session. To allow as many children as possible to enjoy the facility only 1 adult per child should attend.

Cost: £4 per child

Places must be prebooked and paid for by telephoning the complex on 028 9181 2837.

What to expect in Soft Play

  • All moveable play items have been removed including the ball pool and hanging columns. 
  • Seating and toilets within the soft play area are available.
  • Users should bring their own water/drinks as the cafe and vending are unavailable in the complex. Food is not permitted in the soft play area.

 

Soft Play Safety Procedures

  • The soft play area will be fogged routinely and the whole area deep cleaned after every session.
  • The wearing of face masks is recommended for adults at all times whilst in the complex and soft play area.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at the soft play door for use when entering and leaving the area.
  • Social distancing must be adhered to at all times.

Activities, Badminton, Pickleball and Tennis

Update 16 October: badminton, Pickleball and tennis will not be available during the four week break.

Badminton, Pickleball and Tennis is now availalbe to members and non members.

All sessions must be prebooked and those 15 years and under must be accompanied by a playing adult 18 years or over.

All sessions are for 60 minutes starting on the hour.
Up to 3 consecutive sessions may be booked where court time is available.

Booking

All sessions must be prebooked and paid for by calling the complex on 0300 013 3333 ext, 40202 or 40266.  You can dial the extension number as soon as the automated message begins. 

 

Using the complex

Players should arrive at the "Orange Entrance" (closest to the Police station) to the complex 5 minutes before their session starts and follow the procedures in place for visiting and leaving the complex.

Players must:

  • arrive play ready
  • bring their own equipment
  • bring their own water
  • keep track of time and leave promptly at the end of their session.

 

At present all other complex facilites and activities remain closed.  As soon as further guidance has been issued from the Northern Ireland Executive regarding these facilities reopening - information will appear here.

Booking activities

Arriving at the complex

Please follow the guidelines below when arriving at the complex:

  • The barrier into the car park will be open so there is no need to obtain a ticket.
  • When parking, please do so responsibly and maintain social distancing where possible within the car park.
  • Entrance to the complex will be via the "Orange Entrance" (closest to the Police station). 
  • Please be at the entrance 5 minutes prior to your scheduled booking time. Queue in the designated area located under the cover at the entrance using the distancing ground markers.
  • There will be no admittance to the complex 5 minutes after your session start time and the doors will be locked. 
  • Checking in - your booking and attendance will be checked by a staff member before you enter the complex. You do not need to provide a receipt, printed or on a device.
  • Once your attendance is confirmed you will be given a short brief from our staff member who will direct you on how to get to your gym or class.
  • Please use the sanitizer available at the entrance.

In the complex

  • Face Masks should be worn when walking through the complex to and from your activity. They do not need to be worn while taking part in activities. Parent/carers of children attending swimming lessons should wear a face mask at all times while in the complex, including the Aqua Zone. Children do not need to wear masks.
  • Follow the one way system to the gym, Aqua Zone, Sports Hall or Dome, keeping to the left and maintaining 2 metre social distancing at all times.
  • The lift must only be used by one person at a time or by a family bubble.
  • Changing facilities will not be open. Wallet lockers are available in the gym for keys and valuables.
  • Only the accessible toilets will be available on the ground and second floor and in the Dome. Hand dryers will be turned off and paper towels provided.
  • Membership cards will not be needed as access control and kiosks will not be in use.

After your activity session

  • When your activity is finished you should leave the complex promptly.
  • Gym and Aqua Zone users leave via the staircase and doors at the orange wall (same way you came in).
  • Those attending classes in the Dome or Sports Hall leave via the fire exit doors or as otherwise directed by staff.
